Stanton Bridge Primary School

Holiday Clubs

We understand that it is not always possible for parents/carers to keep children occupied during the school holidays as it can be very demanding and expensive. As such the school offers a safe, caring and familiar venue with a range of activities at a very low cost.

Here are some examples of what our children get involved in when they attend Holiday clubs:

  • Multi-sport Club
  • Football Club
  • Art and crafts Club
  • PS3/Nintendo Wii Club
  • iPads/Computer Club
  • Board Games Club
  • Movie Club
  • Bingo
  • Treat days- Pizza & Movies and various trips.

We also offer opportunities for our pupils to experience family days out at a cheap cost. We believe it is vital for our children to spend quality time with their families. Some of the trips we have been to are; Weston Super Mare beach trip, Drayton Manor and Alton Towers. We hope to organise similar trips in the near future.

Easter 2021

We ran a one week holiday club for children in years 2-6. Children took part in a range of activities such as sports, arts and crafts and movie club. We also did a bit of online learning everyday on the ipads. Children got to enjoy lots of Pizza on the last day of the club. What an amazing treat! We look forward to the next holiday club.

December 2020

We ran an exciting 4 day Christmas holiday club for children in years 2-6. Children stayed with the same group leader and stayed in their own bubbles throughout the club. We offered a whole range of activities such as sports, arts and crafts, online learning, and movie time. We also had a visitor come into school to deliver a brilliant circus skills workshop. The children learnt lots of different skills and really enjoyed the workshop.

We also ordered pizza for the children which they really enjoyed as a Christmas treat.

December 2019

On the 23rd and 24th of December, we held a holiday club for children from year 2-6. We had a great turnout of 45 children who got the opportunity to take part in sports, arts and crafts, and Nintendo Wii. In addition to this, we ordered Pizza for children and took them to watch Frozen 2 at Showcase cinema! The children had lots of fun and are looking forward to the next holiday club.

Summer 2019

As part of our summer holiday club, we gave the children the opportunity to be involved in two fantastic workshops. These workshops were circus skills and Space virtual reality. For circus skills the children had loads of fun and learnt a wide range of skills. For space VR not only was it fun, but children also learnt lots about the solar system. We believed that this was a great way of opening up the curriculum for the children and we were happy to provide them with this fantastic opportunity.

May Half Term Holiday club 2019

During the Summer Half Term we held a 3 day holiday club for the children in years 2-6. We had a great turn out and the children enjoyed a range of activities such as sports, arts and crafts, board games, and Nintendo Wii. On the final day of the holiday club we had a treat of Pizzas for the children. All the children enjoyed the holiday club and the range of activities that were on offer.

''Holiday club was so fun because I loved all the activities we did.''

''It was so nice that we all got to have Pizza, I was so full.''
