Year 4 Wasps Project

During Summer term, Year 4 pupils were given the opportunity to be invited to take part in the 2019 WASPS project.

The aims of this project were:

• To improve awareness of a healthy and nutritious diet.
• To give pupils opportunity to work with a Wasps rugby coach.

This project lasted 4 weeks and pupils completed a programme of work. Each week children had two sessions, led by specialists. Firstly, they looked at what a healthy diet is and how our bodies work better when given the correct nutrients. For the second session pupils learnt the basics of playing rugby with a qualified coach.

Our pupils and their families were even lucky enough to each receive free tickets to watch a Wasps match at the Ricoh Arena. The children and even some members of staff enjoyed a fantastic afternoon out.
