Virtual Reality Experience
We were very fortunate to get a visit from the wonderful people at Google who showed the children Google Expeditions.
Using Google Cardboard, a cardboard headset that holds a smartphone the children were able to experience 360 degree pictures using virtual reality.
Using a standard tablet, teachers where able to view the pictures and move them by swiping the screen.
They could then mark points of interest.
The children’s first experience of virtual reality was exciting and the children were awestruck.
Many of the expeditions covered subjects that the children had been learning about and linked into the curriculum in an exciting and innovative way.
