Computing Day 2018

Years 1-3 used Lego WeDo as part of their day of challenge, learning and excitement. They explored how sensors and control work and created their own models.

Years 4-6 explored using the Lego WeDo with Scratch software, using the tilt sensor to control their own game. The children also looked at the NAO robots and learnt about how to program them.

The children had to use many skills during the day, including problem-solving skills, perseverance when debugging and the ability to collaborate with others. The day of activities will help them in their computing lessons for the rest of the year.
