Stanton Bridge Primary School

Our EYFS Curriculum

“A rich and ambitious curriculum designed to help children flourish in their earliest years.”

At Stanton Bridge Primary School our EYFS curriculum is designed to support your child’s growth across all areas of development and are kept healthy and safe. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) statutory framework is a government document that all schools and Ofsted-registered early years providers in England must follow. It sets standards for the learning, development and care of your child from birth to 5 years old.
At Stanton Bridge, our Early Years provision is designed to inspire a love of learning and build strong foundations in all the areas of the curriculum. Through a rich and engaging indoor and outdoor environment. We focus on social development, helping pupils learn to share, take turns, and build positive relationships and children develop key skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and maths. Our continuous provision fosters independence, creativity, and problem-solving. Using approaches such as RWInc for phonics, Boxing Clever for storytelling and maths stories for maths, we ensure pupils become confident readers, writers, mathematicians and communicators. By the end of Early Years, children leave equipped with the knowledge, skills, and social confidence to thrive in their educational journey.
