My interests are very simple, I want to effect positive changes, so that the children of this deprived community get the best education, in a safe environment where voices matter, where teachers work hard to provide to provide all of the skills and education needed to become a positive, contributing member of our future society.

How I do this is simply by making sure the school has the resources required to achieve this goal, whether that is ensuring we have the financial means, or discussing what obstacles we are facing and how to overcome them.   I have been involved in multiple changes to the school, from the introduction of an external accounts company, the build of a new nursery playground to the changing of catering companies - I have always taken an active role with the support of my fellow governors, trustee's and members.

At the time that I joined Stanton Bridge, the school was due to undergo massive change, with the retirement of the headteacher and a substantial building project to undertake. I saw this as a real opportunity to provide positive change which could help the school and the community which it serves.  I was able to offer my knowledge and skillset to the school in the role of a governor and continue to do so through all of my involvement - it is a privilege to be able to work alongside the school and it's community.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, playing games and educating my children - being their resource for information.  I love going to the movies and learning about technological changes in the field of mobile communications, as my children would say, "Dad loves tech!", and they are not wrong!
